Being Cynical

Wrote after a long time!
Feeling like coming out of hibernation…

Just to look at number of posts, am been lil more consistent past couple of years, I feel…

Well… am back, that’s important.

Why are u back anyways… who reads the posts!?
Probably few people do… and few more in future J

Suddenly, I am not all that cynical. And not cynical about lots of things.

Being cynical was like been there with me I don’t know how long. I had been cynical about loads of things. And with changed perspective I am looking around I see lot of people with that Cynical look and attitude.

Being cynical, I realized is very easy. It remaining positive and upbeat about people and event is more difficult. Difficult in the beginning at least. But once u get the hang of it, it’s a new realization that this is your basic nature, true nature. Opens up lot many options. Kind of lets u accept a lot of things about events and about ur self.

Whoa… now so far this is been very cryptic!
Ok. So say this in simple terms…
Whenever, I tried out a thing out a thing (which I have already decided, I am 98% not going to like at all, curtsey cynical part of my brain), I have ended up liking it. Ended up throwing out all my cynical thoughts.
Few things which are done out of responsibility and not out of liking have also turned about to be magnificently enjoyable.

Be it as small as Liking Harry Potter series, to a movie which public seem to be apprehensive about, to Taking up interviews in company for new recruitment, mentoring BE students, attending College Alumni meet, Pinging an old friend, Cleaning of cupboard which is been pending for ages…buying someone gift, going with mom for shopping just to keep her company in the horrifyingly crowded road….
Trying to turn things around on project where everything looks too unchangeable… …To art of living follow up, i.e. coming out of cuddly bed in freezy cold that too on Sunday!

I seem to like it ALL at the moment…
Guess it’s not about what u like and what u don’t like. It’s Just about looking at the things! Living the moment, without thinking much further in future and much back in past. Just Live the moment. Whether you like it or not, enjoy the moment to the fullest…

Anewala pal, janewala hai…
Ho sake to es mein, jindagi bitado, pal ye jo jane wala hai….

When it comes to that, suddenly u start seeing u have so many moments… so much of time! It’s not just passing by. U are consciously living it! There are so many options, so many ways… so much to do…
Run… Run… Run… U have lots and lots to do… and One life time is never going to be sufficient enough!!

Well of course, cynism does bounce back once in a while, n that’s welcome too :D

Now, this one has turned out to be very disconnected thoughts and more like a Diary entry than a post. Well… more structured stuff in Future hopefully!
Aaj bas itnahi! J

Vanished Saturday n endless night

Strange it is…
When you have spent the day, in buzz of activities and continuously doing something or the other… end up sleeping so peacefully. All the days events and buzz don’t interrupt in between.
And when it’s been a lazy day, just lazing around and doing nothing, u end up thinking what all you can do, what you should do in night. Driving the sleep long away.
Guess, the simplest reason could be, in a busy day u have been doing something which u always wanted to do. You took a step forward to getting something done. u are taking a shot break to start fresh in morning. N its peaceful sleep.
A lazy day just ends up giving a sense of helplessness. Not done anything what next kinds!
Activities of the day are always like Newton’s third law: Inertia- The resistance of any physical object to a change in its state of motion or rest.
If you start the day with a good zeal, the momentum manages to stay whole day long.
Start a lazy Saturday and the whole day just as good gets vanished from life. Zup…. With a long stretched thoughtful night….

Flame and Wind

Just happen to read a short story by one very eminent Marathi write V. S. Khandekar. Trying to reproduce it as much as I remember and the way I could.

The Wind was playing with flame, He was happy and he was being naughty.
The Flame tries to put sense to the Wind. The Flame says she is not alone. She needs to show light to the travelers; without her they will not be able to find the way around. They will have a lot of trouble. Otherwise she would not have mind, wind doing anything to her…

Wind gets angry…

He goes away…to a far away land…he plays with bushes and gushes through the mountains. He drives fast fast fastest and slow slow slowest…He sees beautiful sceneries and plays with water…

He tries every bit to forget all about her… or so he thinks…

But he just could not forget her. Tired of his own efforts to forget her, he comes back…

He tries to find out The Flame and she is no where to be found…

And then he hears whispers and murmurs for light by a troubled traveler…who has fallen down due to a rock in the path in total darkness of the night….

Cute Sweet Kitten

Got a new mobile and a new Game…and amazed by it completely.

Basically a shape is displayed rectangle with different corners cut. There a different shape in each square. The shapes look like planets, galaxies etc. You have to move these shapes around. When the same shapes 3 or more comes in line, they blast off leaving the background of those shapes in Blue color.

When the complete shape is covered in Blue color, you get to go to the next level.

Most interestingly, if you reach a stage where No more permutation is possible, ALL the shapes with Blue background blast off and new shapes appear at that place.
And you get whole new things to start with the game ahead J

So if your game starts stalling. You cannot find any combinations to mark the remaining squares with Blue background, just exhaust the remaining possible combinations and well you will certain to find a whole new beginning!

Wish it was that simple with life!!

Unexpected Vs Expected

One of the Mom’s mandir friends, she was all excited. Her son’s marriage was fixed. She went to Surat to invite her relatives for marriage.
And the same day, her husband, got a heart attack while walking on the road. Dead on the spot!!
I can not even imagine what would be state of the house now. Everyone would have been excited, and now, in a moment, it all doesn’t matter anymore. It’s like a sudden eclipse.

It would be so difficult to digest!

Just makes me wonder, if things happen unexpectedly would that wound hurt more?

Sometimes, when you know something is going to happen, the mind would keep going into future. Will keep showing you the flash of the future. After seeing that, the mind will vehemently deny that image. It would tell you it’s impossible. It’s not going to happen at all. Something miraculous will happen and the expected would be avoided. Surely, something will happen. And yet at the back of your mind you know that this is exactly what is going to happen. That repeated image doesn’t stop the blow, nor does it make the wound any less hurtful or any smaller. But some how because u know it is going to happen u r prepared for that wound. Somehow it heals a little faster.
Or does it really? Probably not. Cause you have faced the pain even before u got that wound. And probably due to that the reduction in the healing time later.

So what is preferred? Expected wound or the unexpected one?
Need to say Thank god to life that it doesn’t give a choice. Jo hona hai so to hona hai. But choosing in these two ways would be impossible!

When there is something that happens expectedly, not only u will be prepared but somewhere you will try to live all the remaining moments fully. However, you have to bear the pain of feeling the pain even before the wound. That’s tough.
And something happening unexpectedly, things suddenly change and it’s a big blow. But u don’t have to go through all the pain, and feeling guilty of seeing the future all the time when u don’t want to see it.

Strangely, in the today’s world shouldn’t we be really always be prepared for the unexpected. I guess the simple solution is just live all the moments to the fullest!
Probably, the toughest task to perform by breaking out the monotonous routine.
Well but deserves a chance for sure!

One interesting scene in Harry Potter: Prisoner or Azkaban.

I am a complete fan of this series. I actually read the third one first. i.e. the Prisoner of Azkaban. That too just to check what is all hype about Harry Potter thing. And then after this book ended up, started reading all earlier parts voraciously. And kept waiting for newer ones, picked it up in first week of release and finished it in next. Amazing imagination!! Hat’s of to J K Rowling.

Well that was a tad out of the topic. Back to the topic, Miracle!

In this book Prisoner of Azkaban there is one scene. I am not sure how to explain this complicated scene to non Harry guys. Let me try.

There Harry and his uncle are in a very big danger near a lake. The Dementors (let’s just say villains) would kill them in a minute. Someone from the other shore of the lake creates some magical animal and they get saved. And Harry gets to see a glimpse of his savoir. He is looking like Harry. Harry thinks that savior was his Father. His father, who is dead. Harry thinks somehow he has came back to save him.

And just before that magical animal was cast, on the other shore of the lake Harry is waiting. (Yes that’s correct, Harry is waiting. He has a time turner, so he has turned the time after the lake incident, and has came back on other side of the shore and now at two places! J I tell you if you like imagination you should read this series) He is waiting, with batted breath. He is going to see is father. Anytime now… Now… any time now! He is waiting, no one comes.
In some small fraction of second, he just comes out from behind the tree he was hiding, and casts the spell erupting a magical animal.
In that fraction of the second he has realized that, when he was waiting someone to save him, when he thought he saw image of his father, it was HE HIMSELF!

Miraculous isn’t it!

Ha, I know this can not happen in real world. Oops I mean with us Muggles (Non magical people) :D

But the point is things would start falling in place when we will come to that point of realization like Harry, That ONLY You could save yourself and not anyone else.
